bike, bike, bike

I tried out the Pleasant Run Trail today after din-din with the folks… it was quite lovely except that it runs through quite a scary part of town. I’m sorry… but it’s scary… and everyone else thinks so too b/c I was the only one on that path except some really scary big dude — a.k.a. the reason I turned around and went back to Garfield Park. Which, by the way, is quite a lovely place to take your sweet thang.

traffic is a real bummer

August 29th, 2007 broelliero

Getting stuck in a traffic jam only 4 miles from your exit and 30 minutes after bed time does not a happy girl make… but I took stupid photos to help pass the time and this is best I could do w/ what I got.

seattle?

Okay… So there is something that is making me a little uneasy… I know I don’t normally write much, but I felt like it today. Lately I’ve been going by signs… You know they say there is always a sign for decisions… Like if I am sending an email or text that I’m not sure I should send… If it doesn’t go through at first or some error message pops up, I delete it and don’t send. I think you all get what I mean… And now here’s the big one that’s got me a little uneasy. Most of you all know of my adoration for New York City… How I just want to marry it and live there forever. Now is it just me, or Seattle turning into the most popular city ever? Maybe it’s just getting popular, or maybe something really is telling me to go there… To visit or live, I don’t know… But it seems to be everywhere and this feeling is stronger than any NYC feelings I’ve had. It started w/ an ex who had a friend who lives there… To Grey’s Anatomy being in Seattle… To a friend from HS moving to Seattle to work for microsoft… To my my favorite city blog being Seattle’s… To my new friend, jin, who recently lived in Seattle… To learning that one of my new favorite blogs is written in Seattle… To a news clip a coworker sent me today being in Seattle… It seems to be EVERYWHERE! And the Seattle blog really is convincing me to love it. I’m not in any urge to move… But I feel like something is telling me to go there. Am I crazy??? Most of my major decisions in life have been decided based on my gut feeling… like going to U of I… or becoming a graphic designer… so maybe I should go w/ my gut and sell my condo and move there? Or perhaps just go for a visit… anyone want to join me?

Legend of the Sandsquatch

August 18th, 2007 broelliero

I’m really weird about doing things alone… and I know, I had better just get used to it b/c I’m going to eventually be a crazy cat lady… but I couldn’t find anyone to go to the Legend of the Sandsquatch w/ me tonight… it’s mostly Dave Matthews fault… he had a concert that like everyone in Indiana was going to. Above is my friend from high school, Lisa (now Lola), she lives in LA and makes movies (how cool, right?). So her movie just happened to be playing in Franklin, Indiana (a few minutes from Indianapolis)! So even though I hate doing things alone, I sucked it up and went and am really glad I did. It was really nice seeing her and her parents and some other dudes from high/elementary school.

gatorade®

August 18th, 2007 broelliero

2 o’clock and we’re told we can leave for the day… I’m on a total high b/c leaving early is like my favorite thing ever in the entire world. Especially after a hellacious (is that a word??) week. I decide to go on a bike ride and to try out a new trail. I was determined to see the end of it… and b/c of that, I was biking for 2.5 hours straight! My legs have never hurt as bad as they do right now… but I’ve got to say, it was pretty awesome. And what was even more awesome was knowing I had a cold blue Gatorade® in the fridge! Holy crap, that was good Gatorade®.

R.I.P.

Now, wouldn’t you be scared of this guy?!?! So he just built himself a home right on my sliding glass door… how was I supposed to water my plants with him in my way?? So I sprayed him w/ some windex thinking he’d be like “gross” and spider walk away… but instead he built another web. So I sprayed him again and thought he left. Until the next day when he was back… so I sprayed him w/ orange glow b/c I figured it was stickier and that would really piss him off and make him leave. Now he’s hanging on a single strand of web looking dead… I think I killed him. This hasn’t been my week and now on top of it, I killed an innocent spider. May he rest in peace. :(

UPDATE:
He’s not dead! I just saw him move… but now how I am supposed to get rid of him??

UPDATE - Friday:
He’s dead, guys. :( I am a bad person.
