Is it sad that a friend of mine who has lived in Indianapolis for less than a year is introducing me to all kinds of yummy little cafes and restaurants??? Maybe I’d enjoy this place more if I did some better exploring. Anyway - I love that he’s introducing me to them b/c this BLT + guacamole + shrimp was so good!

So last weekend my sister-in-law asked why I was going to Seattle - when I told her that I was visiting a friend, she exclaimed that I have friends all over the place. And I exclaimed, iiii KNOW it! And guess what! Another friend is getting ready to leave me! Nerrrrd (yes, that’s his real name) has put in his notice at work and is moving to Jersey in like a month. I can’t take this friends-moving-away crap anymore, you guys… I’ve really gotta get over this shy business and make some more friends before all of them move away leaving me all alone. But it really is fun having friends who invite me to visit them in their cool cities… so today’s pic is an old one from when I was visiting a friend (from Indiana) who was living in NYC… I choose it since Nerrrrd is moving kinda close to NYC… and that could be pretty awesome to have a friend who lives an hour or so away from my favorite city in the whole wide world!
The cupcakes at my sister-in-law’s bday shower today were so yummy!
Besides the gift, I found out that my car-door-smashed-finger is neither broken nor fractured!!! Totally happy about that.
This is me trying to take a picture of the eclipse while driving home from a yoga class that kicked my you-know-what… didn’t quite turn out, but it’s still kinda cool. This is actually the first eclipse I’ve seen… is that totally pathetic??
I always have my purse right in front of me at work and recently have been glancing at how cool the buttons distort things. I couldn’t come up w/ anything very cool to show you guys in the button, so I just decided to show you my finger splint that I’m still wearing for my finger that I closed the car door on the weekend before last. That doesn’t make me happy at all, but it looks kinda cool in the button. :)

Lately, the sun has still been out when I get home from work… and I totally love that!
It’s tacky enough that I keep my computer on my dining room table, not even including the hand towel I keep there so my arms don’t stick to the table. So I was pretty excited when I found this little fabric swatch in my junk closet and had the brilliant idea to replace the towel w/ it!
This was seriously one of the most fun concerts ever! And I’d type more about it, but I smashed my finger in the car door today… such an idiot.
