HAPPY SEX & THE CITY DAY!

May 31st, 2008 broelliero

Since taking photos of the theatre screen is illegal, I’m posting these posters that I saw in a scary part of town on my way to see the movie. This little slice here made me feel like I was in New York which was awesome b/c I was going to see a movie about New York. :)

good morning

May 24th, 2008 broelliero

I was so excited to use my new camera today that I actually got up early for the good sunshine. Since downtown was all blocked off for the Indy 500 parade, I went to the park… which wasn’t very inspiring for photos, but was nice for walking! I’m looooving how close I can get w/ this thing and actually have depth of field. That worry of maybe spending to much money… it’s passed… it was totally worth it!

I finally made the plunge! I feel kinda lame having not gotten a nikon or canon but this has a live screen and the dude at the camera shop talked me into it. Sooooo excited! :)

Believe it or not, I had never had a green apple until a couple of weeks ago when they came with my sandwich. I’m totally hooked.

doing girl stuff

This, you guys, is sooooo good. Have you ever been to Traderspoint Creamery? For almost two years, I worked maybe a mile away and never knew the place even existed. How sad.

Did you know that despite the Broadripple Art Fair going on this weekend, Zionsville had one as well? A FREE one? My girl-friend and I didn’t either until we happened upon it and I bought this cute butter spreader (I’m going to use it to ice cookies and stuff - after I clean the crap out of it, of course!) and dessert server. Oh, and some fake pearls for $3.

Can you believe that I bought all of this in Indiana?? Okay, I didn’t get very risky so you probably can, but we went to this international grocery store that was extremely international. There were all sorts of fruits we had never heard of and I felt like I was back in Taiwan. I forget what the name of the place is, but it’s on Lafayette and 38th or something if you want to check it out… which you totally should! I have some more pics from the grocery on my flickr.

Yeah, so I’m trying really hard to stay out of the malls and bars and stores and anywhere that I like to spend money b/c I’ve got this big shopping trip coming up that I want my bank account to be well rested for. So desperate times call for desperate measures. I went to Aldi for wine. Yes. I did. And I paid only $2.99 for the Winking Owl and I gotta tell ya… it’s worse than that 2-buck-chuck from Trader Joes. But the cork… how cute is this cork?!? Almost worth the $2.99.

This package wooed me so much that I spent $2 more for it. It says I can wash it and return it to the store - maybe I’ll get $2 for returning it. ;)

UPDATE: Target gave me 35ยข for returning it. Not too bad!

happy mothers day!

Even though my mom is laying out on the beach in Florida right now, we are still having a cookout and I still made my sugar cookies. YUM. :)

rain

May 8th, 2008 broelliero

I haven’t minded all of the drizzling that’s been going on the past couple of days… it’s quite nice making everything super green.

I saw that Coldplay released a new single… you know what that means!

I want to go back here.

If I could pick any voice to have as my own… anyones at all… it’d be Rihannas. I don’t identify with any of her songs, but I still listen to them on repeat.

You know those stupid little icons that you can buy on Facebook and gift to your friends? Whoever came up with that idea is a genius. I went from just looking for a pickle to having purchased 3 icons. I feel like a schmuck having spent $3 for nothing. But it was fun. :)

I feel like a cave woman using 7.0, man.

Anyway… happy stuff… here’s my coffee that I got at lunch. It’s super awesome b/c I can walk to get it… and b/c it helped warmed me up from the air conditioning.
